If the serial number on you tractor is not listed it may be a Cub Lo Boy, manufactured from 1955 to 1968 or an International Cub, manufactured from 1964 to 1979.

Birthday of Hans Peter Stihl

50th birthday of the company's Chairman Hans Peter Stihl (18 April). On 22 September, Hans Peter Stihl is awarded the Distinguished Service Cross First Class of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany by Baden-Württemberg's Prime Minister Lothar Späth.

The vegetable chain oil for ecologically aware users is rapidly bio-degraded in the ground. BioPlus™ has been awarded the 'Blue Angel' ecology mark since 1988.

STIHL celebrates the next jubilee

60 years of STIHL.
To celebrate the occasion, a street festival is organized in July of this year for the STIHL employees in plant 1 in Waiblingen.

STIHL introduces a brushcutter with backpack power unit for mowing and maintenance jobs in particularly difficult conditions.

Catalytic converter for chainsaws

STIHL develops the world's first catalytic converter for two-stroke engines. It reduces the level of harmful hydrocarbons in the exhaust gas by 70 - 80 percent. The STIHL 044 C is the first chainsaw with catalytic converter.

Filling system for chainsaws and power tools

The filling system supplied as an accessory for the STIHL combination canister allows chainsaws and power tools to be fuelled without dripping - and it stops automatically when the tank is full.
